Submissions Guidelines
- What "Submitting" an article means: We will promise to read your article, but we may respectfully decline it and not publish it, or save it and publish it in a future issue. We also reserve the right to edit, shorten, or revise your article, but will not do so unless we have contacted you prior to this. When you submit your article, news or photo, etc. please include a caption (if applicable) and credit name(s) or tell us if you prefer to be published without a credit.
- Getting permission ahead of time: Please send the article only when you have permission from anyone you need it from, such as anyone included in the article. It's difficult for us to get all set to run an article only to find that the author's fellow community members say no at the last minute.
- Publication rights: If your article, story or recipe appears in Real Hunting Magazine, you are welcome to publish the article elsewhere. Real Hunting Magazine does not hold rights to the articles you submit.
- Photos: If photos are available, please email digital photos to illustrate your story.
We will assume that any people in your photos have already given you permission to appear in Real Hunting Magazine. If you think this will be a problem, please take care of it before sending us photos.
Photos can be vertical or horizontal, black & white or color. We cannot accept hard copy photographs. Photos from a website will also work. File formats can be JPGs or PDFs. If you would like to submit an article but cannot supply photos, that's fine.
We thank you for your submissions and hopefully we will publish everyone's story.
Please limit your story to 50-200 words or less if you are submitting a short article. If you are interested in doing a longer feature story, please let us know or aim for around 1-4 pages in length.
Thanks, Real Hunting Magazine Staff |
